Two of the captive "nuts" that keep the VIM attached to the chassis are missing. I cannibalized a couple of the little round captive "nuts" from an older chassis. Can anyone tell me a slick way to "attach" these captive nuts. They appear to have been press fit originally. I considered super glue, but am afraid it will make its way into the threads.

you don't need them.
but you could press them in with vice grips or use 2 part epoxy.

those 2 little round sheetmetal screw retainers are flared in like a pop rivot. Easiest thign to do is rob the entire moutning plate off an old broken 8000 VIM.

I would agree dragan, if the problem was just that little plate betweenthe two VIMs, but mine are missing from the main chassis bulkhead. Bummer.
