I'm curious if anyone see's the same thing I do. I've been testing different setups. My first try was with a Toshiba HD DVD player-HDMI-HD Fury-supplied short breakout cable-AmPro 3600HD. 1080I was perfect, 1080P NA. Plug in the supplied external PS and 1080P was perfect. If I put a NEC switcher in the mix, I only get 1080I with external PS attached. Second
try was with a PS3. No 1080P through the switch but 1080I without the external PS. I've also tried it both ways with Heywoods Moome ISS HDMI input card with no problem. As long as I use the external PS, the ISS card works with both I and P through 40 feet of RGBHV.
The second round of testing was for image quality under the best possible conditions. With the PS3 still connected to Heywoods ISS card through the 6010 and a 6 foot RGBHV cable. The image was great for both I and P. Then I connected the Fury to the projector with the supplied short breakout cable and connected the fury directly to the PS3 with a short HDMI/DVI adapter cable. To my eyes, the Fury's image was better, with better color being the most obvious. The Moome ISS image was slightly washed out but watchable. One other thing of notice was the Moome card required less H-phase adjustment to center the image which for some AmPro owners has been a issue.
I wish Moome had continued to support development for the ISS switchers as it is used by many of us and keeps wiring to a minimum.
An Interesting test will to be to bring my HD fury over to Heywoods and connect it to his 9500LC that has a HDMI input board. Then perform a A/B test for image quality.

Is the moome card the one with adjustable gamma? If so, too high will make the image looked washed out. It may be adjusted for a PJ that crushes black more than yours.

All I know about this one is that it does not have the up-dated edid. If it has adjustable gamma, I don't know how to adjust it.

you may also have equalization on the RGBHV output card set too high, or wrong GAIN settings

That Moome card is among the first ISS cards shipped... with fixed gamma on a daughterboard.
It CAN be removed and jumpered as another test, Chip.

I have the projectors gamma correction set to on. I guess that means I'm effectively doubling up on the degree of correction. I'll check that later

The projector's gamma correction is not the same as what the card does.
But, I can tell you, the fixed gamma circuit in the original moome card was WAAAAAAY too high for any PJ that does not seriously crush black (in other words, it was kind of OK for a Marquee, but pretty bad for a Sony or a Barco). I would switch off the gamma circuit and I bet if will look fine.
