BG1208s: I have tiny diagonal streaking on red tube – not visible on screen yet.
Is it the same symptoms as described her?

Fet replacement on the RGB amplifier board?

It could also be a bad neckboard or bad tube.

Hmm – Good 1208s parts is hard to come by. If it’s a tube failure it’s expensive or - can you supply?
The tube has no visible wear – 9 – how could it be a failure?
It seams the same streaking happens too the green…..

Diagonal retrace line?
Could it be a problem with blanking during retrace time? Or just G2.

It's probably not neckboard or tube if it's visible on green as well.

Yes I have a spare Sony red tube. Tubes can age, after all they are most likely 15 years old at this point. Take a picture of the neck board area, that will tell me if it's a Sony or MEC tube.

Hope it’s only G2 adjustments – will have the PJ inspected form a former Barco technician next Friday.

Necboard numbers;
R7621191
(1080207)

If’s tube failure – I give up. As you say it’s 10-15 year old parts and reliability is an village in Sibir….since I started this CRT adventure 4 years ago I have owned a small number of CRT’s
NEC 3000
BD801s
BG1208s
( thought the next would be 8” LC or a 9” – but I don’t know…)

OK, that's the Sony tube. If it is the tube, why not throw another one into the set? Or for that matter, if you can't see the lines in the image, why not use it as is? I'll bet it will run another couple of years for you.

You make me smile again – not more then 200$ And the rating is 9?
Paid 12k NOK for new blue to BD801s a couple years ago – 200$ are 1k NOK.
