Lifting up the frame exposes access to the CRT sockets, and once those are taken off, you have access to the 4 PC boards that hold some of the circuits in the chassis.

Note that it’s common for the PC board connectors on the motherboard to come off when you pull up the frame or when you lower it. Make sure all connectors are seated properly before lowering the chassis.
