Now the Board is here and i test it without conectet the HS and the Other Wire that comes out of it with high Voltage Smile)

The Power was vor about 5 Sec on and i heer a sound out of the Cabel so that it sounds like high Voltage..
I thought wou everything is fine you can fix now all together and start Confused But then the Power Supply went down and
after disconect the HS Driver Transistor i see on my multimeter that it has schorten ...

Why Question Question Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Is it possibel that i made a mistake conecting not all the leads to its Part´s
I only left off the leads that are for High voltage..

bevor i schorten other HS Transistors pleas tell me if i can test without conecting HS or better conect HS and leave only the screen wire of the Tubes off its Place. Question Question Question

Now the HS Board and the Suply Bord are changed... Very Happy Confused

On the Red and Blue Tube ist a Box with letters in it ( i can not clearly see it because i am not in Focus) 8)
On the Green Tube letters without a Box or only Part´s of Letters are shown.. 8)

So the Green Tube drifts in Focus from sharp to unsharp Confused then a Click Noise Rolling Eyes i thing a little Thunder and then the sharpness comes back.. Shocked

So the first Problem is the drift of the green Focus..

So the second Problem much more dificult i think Sad is that this Picture after a wile goes over to a Noise (not loud)
an the Screen become brighter and the image drift´s on all tubes to the right and gets smaller and scratching is schown
on the screen . Neutral .. after this i pull the Plug out and wait a Moment ...

The Plug in and the same Prozess begins a clear Picture with a drift in green Focus and the the totali loos of the clear Picture and a scratching to one side on all Tubes and a little noise but i thing that the Noise is from the deflektion´s
because of the lost of Syncronisitie..

Can anybody tell me what in hell is to do or better let it and disasemble the Projector and trough the rest away Question Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Do you have the new or old style focus block?

http://www.curtpalme.com/Zenith841_Focus_Block_Replacement1.shtm

If you have the old style, then that is what is causing your focus drift. That happens all the time.

Well without getting the HV to fire up, we didn't know that the focus block was actually bad. With the low value of the set, there's no point in buying stuff you didn't need.

The focus block is expensive, $250 incl air shipping. I do have stock.

Cheers!
