So I got my PS3 and 5th Element today. Can really say that the picture quality is what I was already receiving from HD DVD and the 5th Element looked great.

Menu on 5th element was hoky at best and the case was elementary, but I guess those are small gripes.

The PS3 itself is far and away the easiest thing I have ever set up and at first glance seems to be the most feature rich.

Tomorrow I plan to experiment with WMP11 as a server and also using an external HDD with the PS3.

I like the BT for the controllers, but can't see myself or anyone else using a controller to control the dvd's.

I have an MX850 that I want to eventually set up for RF control, but it is gradually starting to look more and more outdated.

Might try the new MX810 or the Harmony 890 for a little more user friendly interface and free software.

Overall....for $300 might be the best purchase I have made in HT in awhile!

(PS - I did notice a slight difference in the hum from my amps to my front three speakers when I turned the PS3 on!, everything is into a surge center so I am not sure what is going on there.)

Ok, having alittle fit here with trying to stream ANYTHING via wifi using WMP11. I can get to all of my folders but they are empty.

All music is either wma or mp3 and it simply says, "no titles".

The videos will show a preview thumbnail but some sort of DLNA server error (2006) pops up and it says file not playable or some stuff.

**UPDATE**

Had to make sure that the services.msc was allowing the tversity media server through the firewall.

That seemed to clear up the connection issues.

not a big fan of the lag between picking a file and it actually starting to play.

I read somewhere that the PS3 requires over 1mb before it actually starts to play any file. Never had that problem with the xbox 360.

What IR solutions are people using that includes the power on/off command? I wanted the usb2bt but it is out of stock until end of june. I guess I should preorder.

I can't deselect 480p in the display settings. When I put in a BR the projector acts like it wants to change resolution and flashes and resyncs. Sometimes it DOES change to 480p and I have to go back to menu and then start it again.

Can I deselect this to make this stop happening? Does everyone else's make your projector resync? (those that DONT use scalers that is)
