well after pulling my head out of my a$$ from being embarest I went up and looked the projector over and fired it up one last time. I projected the picture on the wall with just the shades drawn. Alot of sunlight still making it in the room. the red g2 was set at 62 and the green g2 was set at 58 and both contrast was 50. I think I am going to fart around with this thing for a few. If I could pick uo a blue for 250 I might just do that and see what I's got really. I do relize I have alot of work but hay what else is there to do.

How bright was the image on the wall ? Those setting are pretty low , You MIGHT be ok with them.
What were the drive settings ? What was the BlueG2/Drive at ?
They are really fun to play with and can be a fun hobby,at this point if you are not prepared to do that sell it and buy a digital .

blue tube was shot. The drive on the grren and red were at 50 as well

Drive on the green at 50 is pretty low.
If you had a blue you could follow this procedure for grey scale But this is a good site to look at procedures as well as get acquainted with the Marquee.

there's nothing to be embarrased about, a lot of us here have been burned before and for much more than $1K when buying sight unseen surplus machines. It sounds like your Red and Green might have enough life in them to be used as is. You need to check that P14 voltage ASAP if you want the other 2 tubes to live. It's described at the bottom of this page.

Normally the 96 machines with this problem will be pushing upwards of 7VDC which is bad. Curt can modify the LVPS for you for a reasonalbe cost. OH and 1 more thing, if your going to try one of those LUG's off tubular outlet, it will need a modification to the VNB. You should probaly send all 3 to Curt as well and have them re-capped + 1 modded for the LUG tube. Come to think of it, send him the VDM as well for the anamorphic mod and then with a little luck and new blue tube you can use the machine for HD video.
