Hi everybody
I've tried using a roger's hd cable box into my Iscan HD box with the roger's set at 720p and the Iscan passes the signal through. But my BD 801s won't show anything because it needs negative sync and I believe the roger's hd box is putting out positive sync. Is there a way around this like a new board or device? Thanks BigD P.S. the roger's box worked at 480p.

I'd suggest the RTC2200. I used with my BG800 for the same reason (well one of the reasons) as it allows you to force negative sync. The main reason was for great component to RGB transcoding and gamma adjustment.

Good point. The 801s accepts positive on port 3. More info: http://www.curtpalme.com/Barco_Port3_Input.shtm

Just lop one end off a VGA cable and solder on a DB9 connector.

Hi
I've bought a Startech mxt915hmm vga to db9 cable for my Iscan HD and I've used my trusty Radio-Shack multimeter and traced which wires we're which and soldered them the way that Kal pointed me to and it works with my IScan in positive sync. Now to find a 720p device to try it.Thanks Darryl

Well I tried a Sony BDP-S1 Blue Ray player into my Iscan Hd at 720p and 1080i and all I got was a green picture. When I go through the formats and hit 480i or P the picture is in full colour. My Iscan HD is putting out 1080i so why a green picture at 720p or 1080i? Any body else using the VGA to DB9 into port 3? Thanks Darryl P.S. I found this While all "s" model projectors (except the 801s) will accept a component signal via port 4/5, the same is not true for port 3. Please explain.

You started a separate thread about this... so I answered there.
