No, I don't buy the HVPS issue. THere's nothing within the HVPS that can trigger the error lights.

In that case, if it's not a bad CLM, you could have separate H and V issues. It's a matter of swapping boards at your end with another Marquee to see if the error lights go out. If not, send me the boards for testing here.

you had CLM seating issues in the past didn't you?
I'd try cleaning the connectors on it.

yes but i removed all the chips on at a time and cleaned them as well at the board and still nothing I cleaned the daughter boards as well and no luck.
I will try swapping in my clm from my 8000 and see what happens it should be compatable with the 9500 boards shouldn't it?

It should be but you might loose some functions but at least it should fire up. reseat all the other boards and also check the daughter board on the HDM and reseat that. Also check the two plugs that go into the vertical deflection modual and the convergance modual that connect it to the mother board. if you have recently disconected them for any maintanence work you may have not connected both rows of pins. Basicaly just go though out the entire set and reconnect evrything, you might get lucky.

voodoo7869,
Have you managed to find the problem yet?

I am waiting on some boards from a fellow member I will let you know. here are some of the things i have done clean and reseat the clm (chips and addon cards.) clean and reseat all boards. and daughter cards. no effect. I have tried swapping the clm from an 8000 no joy swapping deflection processor boards. no joy. I am waiting on a vdm because mine was modded for 16x9 and they destroyed a couple of traces. but if i put the 9500 clm into the 8000 i don't get a picture I got a no sync once then i never got anything again. it might be a compatability issue not the board no error lights.
I will say this with all of the 9500 boards installed i hear a whine when i put it in standby it is hard to discribe goes form low pitch to high pitch very fast if you can picture vvvvvvvtt low to high like something has a frequancy issue. if anyone has any thoughts please by all means I ahev tried several vim s and no luck.

Strange question....
Have you had the LVPS out of the chassis lately?

Don't get your hopes up but....
There is another possibility.
If the connector for the LVPS has been damaged, and the pcb edge connector is not making full and proper contact, then any or all diagnostic leds on the clm can light up.
I had a lvps connector that had been forced against its wishes and the mounts simply snapped. The result was a poor connection that presented with similar symptoms.
Follow this thread https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=6315.html
It's not that hard to diagnose - just remove the LVPS and put your hand in and push ( gently of course and after the HV has had a chance to dissipate ) on the black connector. if it moves backwards - bingo.
Good luck
