Ok, we all know that Toshiba's HD DVD is dead in the water thanks to Toshiba torpedoing itself. And with the HD DVD primary backer and developer publicly announcing it will no longer support it will the DVD Forum reconsider Sony's Blu-ray as the heir apparent? Will Toshiba sell Sony the HD DVD trademark and allow the two to become one? Will the DVD Forum ever have self-justification anymore--should it go away?
