Hi Y'all, a hole lot of help from you guys is needed
project
sealed hushbox for my sony 7" sony d50.
i'm going to start building my hushbox within a week, i will be a sleek design(i hope) in fiberglass with both air in and air out though my back wall which leads to my bedroom.
yesterday, i got fairly drunk and thought: lets drill a hole for air out in the wall behind the crt. its 13cm/5 inches in diameter.
will it be big enoughf?
now i just need a air out hole in the wall, but what size should it be?
tube lenght for air out is 16 cm/6,3 inches with no bends.
tube lenght for air in is 87cm/ 34 inches with one soft u bend.
final 2 questions:
should i put a fan on air in- air out or both and should they suck or blow?
how much air should it flow? i looked in the manual but i'm an idiot at such things
best regards
panduro

I'm going to build similar design in near future to my BG808s. I'm going to make hushbox so that it's limited to back wall and I'm going to cut hushbox sized hole to back wall. That way tubes or extra fans aren't probably needed, because projector can freely "breath" to another room.
Maybe I add two 80 CFM fans to blow cool air from floor level to hushbox front section to make cooling more effective.
If you are going to use tubes and fans, you have to check how much air is going through D50 and use about same air flow in and out. That's the safest way.
