I saw those but didn't want to deal with the cases. I am sure it is YMMV but govliqudation frowns upon abondoning some of your purchase on their property so you may be stuck hauling the whole thing off the base at least. I have purchased a couple of larger items and tried to leave some part and they would not let me at two sites. Also I have found the sites highly variable on their willingness to assist in loading so bring a friend or two. Great price for them though. I think you will be happy.

No, you have it all wrong: The Matrix screen option allows you to apply bullet time to anything displayed

Hmmm..... Neighbor wants to do something outdoors for his pool... Poolside 72" RP TV right thru the front wall of his pool house, a fold-down affair for shuttering the screen against the wind.
I can see it happening! I'll give him my BarcoGraphics 801, or sell him an NEC/Runco...

Approx 32"x58"x80"
One thing to consider is they are most likely 10L lenses that are for smaller screens.
I would consider keeping at least the "first surface" mirror , It can be used in a couple different configuration and sized RP applications.

Also the screen would make someone a decent sized RP screen .
Those SN numbers are pretty recent If I remember correctly , maybe someone who has more experience can chime in with a guess as to their age

The context I've seen is "matrix screen, for improving contrast for very high ambient light conditions." I took this, again in context, to be opposed to the wide-angle viewing screen. (The context: From the link I posted above, Matrix was an option and was listed 'as opposed to' the 180 degree screen. Or so I interpreted...)

So when's the road-trip? You only need another scaler if you are going to deinterlace 1080I. Your HD DVD player does 1080P and you have a 1440X960P scaler to handle std def DVD's.
It wouldn't be a 8500LC. The throw ratio on that is too long for that cabinet.

Removal Date: February 29 - March 7 / No Weekend Removal
420ish miles one-way.
My current thinking is that I'm going to rent a tow-capable van. Should be close to one tank each way, and I've got a very good trailer to tow behind... Take the PJ out of the carcass and get it nicely strapped down to a pallet in the van, then wrap and strap the carcass horizontally on the trailer.
I have to think carefully about scaling options... If this IS a viable 9501LC then I certainly WILL be entertaining thoughts of de-interlacing 1080i...

That must break down for transportation. I'll bet the farm all you need is a basic tool kit and that van. No trailer required.
My van's back doors are over 48 inches tall and you can fit a full width sheet of plywood on the floor between the wheel wells. Time to google for a owners manual for the cabinet.

Congrats nice find. Is that the Mechanicsburg PA location (~420 miles)? That is where my company is moving me to. I'll be there on a business trip this week (gone on the 28th though). Once I am there for good (spring/summer), I can eyeball auctions if people wish.

What a coincidence...
Yep, that's Mechanicsburg... I (and another member here) spotted these 9501LCs hiding inside the Worlds Biggest Retro Chasses.
Chip, I don't think I can side-by-each two halves of this thing in a 48" space even tho it does break in half. It looks to be planer front and back and is 32" deep, therefor at least 64" is required.
I plan on bringing a piece of plywood, straps, tarpaulins, rope... your basic sloppy butchering kit, and wrapping the chassis very well. The plywood to cover the front of the screen and prevent wind-inspired blowout.

I can't find a manual for this thing anywhere.
Nike does, however, offer a nice Air Jordan sneaker called the "Retro IV" !
Suppose Scott at VDC may be able to lay his hands on one?

Yeah it wasn't like they were exactly hiding on the site. I found them doing the very obvious search for Electrohome. I am sure most of the usual GL suspects saw them. I know at least one reseller located fairly close to them who saw them but said he didn't need any more projectors right now. In my opinion the retro cases were what kept the price down. Basically if you weren't within driving distance you weren't going to bid very high given shipping costs these days.

DAMMNIT!
I FORGOT ABOUT THESE STUPID AUCTIONS!
I was going to bid quite a bit on both of these, as I wanted them for a possible blend. But I forgot to bid, what with all my house projects going on lately. 
I'm gonna create a 5' x 4' hole in my upstairs flooring today. I love house projects.
