Some of the more obscure catalog titles on HD DVD may not get released to Blu-ray anytime soon.
On one hand, it may be a while before Blu-ray titles hit the prices HD DVD titles are at and will continue to drop to. Then again, Blu-ray has DVD to contend with and with some luck it will be a tough fight, resulting in Blu-ray's turn to slash title prices. I think the memory of replacing VHS libraries with DVD versions is still somewhat fresh in peoples' minds. I'm not sure how quickly the masses are going to embrase HDM, especially with where the player and media prices are at now. We'll see though.
