Uncharacteristicly silent. Yes that does describe me. I was in my lab ( aka half finished HT ) playing with the HD-Fury, Moome cards, Sony PC 1271, Sony G520P, Green Machine, a new screen idea, and..... I actually WATCHED 4(!) movies on the Ampro 4000 back to back! I would have gone 5 but the sun came up and that digital washed out looks just didn't do it for me. ( no shades, I was using them as a screen lol )

Thanks for all the props guys. Crying or Very sad <-----those are happy tears Very Happy
Thanks for making me a MOD Kal. I promise not to abuse it. Nor do I intend to censor your post's. I will also "stay out of the squabbles" as Barry say's.

I'm not the guy with the gun, gum or any other of the usual suspects. No issues there Chip. I'm easy going.

Wallace , funny but as I sat down to read the forum tonight I had a green freezer mug. It matches the HTPC. Mr. Green

Curt, I've already disappointed you and I haven't even started the job yet Shocked lol
I'll try harder, really I will.

I'm going back to the lab to play with some screen stuff and take some screen shot's.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.
Thumbs Up

I couldn't think of a better man for such a job. AR isn't just a nice guy, he's astute, intelligent and has a good sense of humour.

I firmly believe that such an esteemed position requires the immediate donation by Curt of a Sony G90 or equivlent.

I did too! Several times, with three different video cards even. I figured out the work arounds for the lacking hardware. I never threw my hands up and walked away. I even got my LG HD-DVD/Bluray combo drive working properly(ish).

Say didn't you give up and return your LG combo drive? Wink

I just don't like digital too much, and, after this weekend's testing of d!gital vs. analog signal's in my HT I can honestly say there were no issues with the analog and a whole can of worms with the digital.

Also didn't you give up on getting your HTPC to play nice with your projector? Razz

Just ribbin' you BTW

I am not sure how a guy can spend so many hours on a site with so little pron, but congratulations on the "promotion" the idea that a insomniac post whore can also be a Mod, just further reaffirms how cool this site is. Very Happy

I did return my drive, and when you asked in a separate thread I told you how I did it and how you should do it, too. Thumbs Up

And yes, I did give up on the HTPC when I got into the PS3 and new HR21 from DirecTV. What is left other than network streaming through a media server thanks to Sony and Microsoft?

Then again, I've always noted on this board, and others, that I am not a CRT geek and leave that aspect to professionals. Smile

In a way there are hundreds of moderators, since a lot of people lend a hand here. We don't really 'moderate' (edit/delete) posts. All the mods really DO* is help out!
