A few weeks ago I decided to adjust the G2 on my Sony 1251/71 PJ which is ceiling mounted. After standing on a box, with a multimeter probe in one hand and a screwdriver to adjust in the other hand a fair adjustment was made but still not as good as I would like. After thinking about it for some time I decided to use a cable fron a computer with an insulated pin socket on one end, attaching this to each individual pinand a crocadile clip to the other end of the cable this enabled me to now concentrate on the multimeter without having to worry about the probe slipping off the pin. I have now been able tocalibrate my G2 to 3.98v 3.86v and 3.93v. The difference in the better calibration is quite outstanding and well worth the extra effort.
