Here's an auction for PINK FLOYD Atom Heart Mother RTR tape : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160203610098&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006. Currently $380 with over two days to run. No telling what it might end up at. The seller claims that this is the only Pink Floyd RTR tape he has ever seen. I have no idea if it's the only one or not as I'm just beginning to look into recorded RTR. But it would be a very cold day in hell before I'd spend that sort of money when I could get it for a normal price on an equally good format (CD).

I haven't acquired anything on RTR since I bought my Otari 5050. I was thinking about this http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTHENTIC-SPEECHES-SOUNDS-MUSIC-FROM-NAZI-GERMANY-33-45_W0QQitemZ270207792119QQihZ017QQcategoryZ618QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem as my first selection. What do you think?

Amazing. How well do those old tapes hold up? Computer tapes start to stick, the oxide starts to flake off, etc. You'd have to be a pretty serious collector to want to pop $400 or more for one tape.

I dunno man, it's shipping from Quebec. Chances are someone dubbed the word 'Quebec' over 'Deutschland' any place where they say

"Deutschland ueber Alles'

Very Happy

THe quality of the tape used on prerecorded tapes is pretty crappy. About the same quality as what prerecorded cassettes were. Crap.

Ahhh..... more money than brains.... wish I fit that category.

Hate being smart and broke.

Curt's just trying to keep the bids down. I know he wants it.

Holy Moly! $1525 and still over seven hours before it ends! No telling what the final value will be. Now I've got to scour all the pawn shops/video trading stores in my area just to find this tape. Not likely to have any luck though since this is a Japanese tape.
