|
|
I think I need to be in the CRT forum for this but, I'll try here first. I hooked the HDMI out of the HD satellite to the HD FURY and added the power source to it. It used the extender to the Fury becuase it didn't fit (no room) into my Centerstage. Now the picture doesn't line up. The R,G,B don't line up. It looks like it has never been adjusted.
Is it my G70? Should I be asking how to align everything on the CRT forum?
Thanks
Andy

Andy,
You're right - it's because the new resolution (1080i? 1080p?) has never been set up in your projector. The mods should move this thread to the CRT section.
For starters what you can do, is to switch back to the Centerstage as your source. Then, enter service man mode (enter, enter, up, down, enter), then enter to say yes. Press zone to get zone 0 on green or whatever, then hold down the memory key until the projector asks if you want to save the setup to all memories. The only problem with that is if you have some different setups for other resolutions (480p, 720p, etc.), they'll all be replaced by the current one. If all you've ever used on the Centerstage is 720p, that's OK.
Now is the time for one of the G70 guys (I've only just started playing with mine) that's more familiar with the G70 memory bank setup to step in. I think there's a way on the G70 to copy a setup from one memory to another without overwriting all blocks.
If you don't want to mess with all this, you could also call your original setup guy. He should be able to set up a couple of new memory slots for you and have them looking good in under an hour if he knows what he's doing.

It sounds like the frequency is new so you need to converge. Have you ever done a convergence yourself?

That is a pretty thick and reliable limb there buddy.

The Centerstage (all models) has the ability to shift the image. Have you tried that yet?
EDIT:Never mind. I didn't read your original post correctly. Shifting with the CS won't help. Back under my rock I go.

I could have sworn during all my blinding hours of reading here that on the G70 I had to erase all memory blocks then setup a block for each frequency I wanted to feed it, Which was easy for me because everything out of the scaler is 1080. I will see if I kind find the link. On the upside, once I set it it up I, I haven't had to mess with it (much)

Thanks guys!
I have never done a convergence. As for my CRT guy. He wants $675 to come out and do the setup. I can't afford that right now. Did I mention that he is extremely arogant too. I've already spent $100 for the HD satellite and $200 for thee HD FURY. I know that is pathetic, considering I have about $20K worth of equipment in the house; but things have changed. I just wanted HD. Wife is already pissed. I am not a tweaker (I wish I was) I just want the stuff to work and not have to screw with it. I believe size matters; otherwise I would have bought a 70" Sony XBR and been done.
Sorry, I just vented; I'm just frustrated.

That link is blocked at my work. I'll go online tonight and read it when I get home.

Once you get that thing setup and watching movies you will seriously wonder if you can ever live in a house without one. At least thats how it is for me. Hell even if I end up in a trailer the Theater is going to live
