Of course, I am talking about available in high-definition (HD DVD, Blu-ray, etc.), and which should already be out if the studios REALLY wanted a bigger hit then what their formats are now. And since I support both camps, it isn't about format, but just being available. What would be your top picks?

These movies are great! Too bad only BR.

Why only 5.1? Have most of the HD movies only been in 5.1? I only have 5.1 but just thought they were all 7.1 for some reason.

Some good titles, though I already own a few on them on Blu-ray so some are definitely available.

If Blu-ray players drop below the $200 mark I might consider going purple. Until then, I'm hoping at least a few of those will be headed to HD DVD. The PS3 is still the best Blu-ray player out there and I don't feel like dropping $400 on another game system when I already have a Xbox 360 I hardly ever play. The PS3 still has lots of catch-up to play as far as game titles compared to the Xbox 360. I do like that online play is free though. I wonder if it will stay free.

Yes, I already have a set of those:

But with movies that good and that long, I want top PQ and top AQ, not just homemade cases and homebrew TS-HDDVDs split across multiple DVD-R's. 1080i TS is better than nothing, but I look forward to buying LOTR (and KB1&2, PF) in 1080P (blu or red).

The photo I linked to was from Amazon.com. I think it was from a page made in anticipation of a release to HD DVD.

But I want the extended edition, so I'll have to wait for the Blu-ray editions. Very Happy
