When I saw this I had to laugh. I remember seeing these in the department stores and thinking I would love to have one of those. But the more I think about it, now I feel OLD!!!!!!

I REALLY REALLY want one of those. I have NO room for one but I really want one. I remember seing one in Sears around 1980 or so. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. Gee 28 years later I still thing projection TV is the coolest thing. Next to Star Wars.

I've got one... a Sony KP-5000. It throws a decent 480i picture. I don't have it set up anymore, but I still have it.

I had one and used it everyday for 13 yrs before it gave up. No parts anywhere. Anyway it hooked me well and truly on large crt projectors.

hahaha , ive still got the screen .
Funny thing about this unit was my green had slightly dimmed so i boosted the tube and increased the filament to 7.3VAC , ran absolutely SPECTACULAR for another few years till i could just pump the heater elements no more ... lol .
Ohh by the way , i had it set up in my bedroom 4 meters x 3.5 meters so lets just say it was " NOT SO SQUEEZY " and when i jumped to the new generation projector being those little sharpvision things with 180,000 pixels on 1 panel i was the king of the hills .
