I have an opportunity to buy a Panasonic crt pj. Not sure which model it is yet or what kind of shape the tubes are in. What are the pros and cons of these units?

THe PT 101 is worthless, a video only set that's really old. Almost ditto for the PT 105, but it will do 480p.

The 1085 is a good data set, but worthless if you don't get teh setup remote with it, and there's very few parts out there for it. If Lovebohn has parts, then go for it.

Lovebohn, I actually have a 1083 or 1085 here that I never retubed. Got any good tubes?

Thats a PT-101 or 105......

Offer him $50 for it and hook it up to a game console or basic DVD player for the kids Thumbs Up . Or.. just pair it up with a small screen and use it or SDTV.. you can beat the hell out of it and it will keep going.

I had a PT-101. I used it for the old PSone and hooked it up to a VCR to pull in cable stations. I was on for 6 or so hours a day for about am month. Now, the friend I sold it to has it on almost ALL day, gaming and watching TV. Still going, and no burn yet LOL.

The guy says this one is a PT-200. There is a screen with it, I'll offer him $50.00

"Panasonic PT-200. An entry level data grade projector. 7" tubes, 36 Khz scan rate, 550 lumens, video, S-video and RGB inputs. A smaller lighter unit than most and very slimline for those low ceilings." April 7, 2002

I could use an extra screen for super bowl this weekend. I was gonna shine one of my old 10xx's on the wall in the living room. My upstairs ht isn't very big.

Don't tell 'em. My G/F came into my place and saw the RUnco 900 sitting on the TV stand by the door. She said "wasn't there a 27" TV there before?" I just said Hmmmm I don't remember. I thought that was always there. Smile
