I;'m resurrecting an old Ampro 2000/2600 with the late model CPU board in it, the short one with lots of SMT parts. I robbed the convergence board from it a long time ago, and I've put in what I _THINK_ is the right convergence board. I'm not sure though.
The set fires up, but I'm getting lots of I2R error codes, and I'm not sure if I have the right convergenec board or not, or whether the convergence board is bad. Attached is the version of C board I've got installled.
Can someone confirm that this is the right board by comparing it to what you have?
Thanks!

Wrong board.
It takes the newer board like what is in the 3300,3600,4300,4600 sets. They do not have the large chips on them. They have a bunch of surface mounted stuff.

Thanks! I've actually got it running with another board like the one in the pix. I have one I2R code that pops up every once in a while, but it's working. Pls post a pix of the right board, as I do have others here, but worst case, the one in teh set is now working well enough for me to use this as a test set.
Cheers!

There were firmware versions for SMD CPU with SMD registration, old remote/new remote, thruhole registration with SMD CPU. About any mixture. Attached are some of the possibilities. The CPU cards are the same with the different firmware determining the part number (81XXX). The firmware chips are most likely still available.
