I have the 1270 switcher and a 1272 projector. I also have a harmony remote that I use to turn stuff on and off. There are times when I want to turn on the switcher, but not the projector. Such as when I want to see my ps3 on my monitor that I have hooked up, so I can navigate to music. The problem is that the switcher and projector seem to use the same on/off command. Is there a way around this?

I thought about just covering up the switchers ir sensor with tape, and just leaving it on all the time. The only problem with this is I have more than 1 input card. I use a moome card for the ps3, hd-a2, and hd tuner. But I use a couple other cards for the pc and a dvdo line doubler. It would be nice if I could have the switcher actually switch to the input needed, but be able to turn on the swither without having the projector come on.

Hopefully there is a way around this on/off thing with my universal remote. If not, I will go the tape route, and just manually select the input on the switcher when needed.

Thanks,

Travis

I don't know about Sony's, but some make's of projectors you can have more than one remote address, if that is the case with Sony, can you change the remote address of the projector so it won't respond to the same commands as the switcher ??

I didn't see anything about this in the manual. I don't think it is possible to do with the 12xx projectors, but hopefully I am proven wrong.
