|
|
Hallo Guys,
as I have problems with the horizontal sync on my 1271 ( The whole picture is permanently unstable on all three tubes ) I'm looking for a DA board for this projector. I got hints from other guys on this forum who told me that they had the same problem and after swapping this board all problems were gone. Curt said he has one but for the last days I can't get any response from him so I put up the request here. So if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
Greetings Joe

Thanks for the advice. Hammerheadtech seems to have lots of parts, but unfortunately not a DA board for a 1271 at ebay right now.

When I bought the set they didn't have them on ebay. Think I emailed them directly

I just asked them directly and they told me that right now they don't stock this board. They have a similar one but that is too hard a risk to go for.

Hallo Sonynut,
another light in the tunnel. Just in case you find a DA board in your collection of spare parts this is the partnumber on my DA board for comparison: 1-639-933-12
I also have taken a picture just in case you would need this, too?!
I hope you might have one in functioning order.

Hallo 69shelby,
as I'm not a technician from Sony only an expert on this forum could tell if a 1272 board is useable in my 1271 but I doubt it. I already read from another guy here in Germany that only the 1251 is compatible in some ways to the 1271 and it is said to be the same way with 1252 to 1272.

Since we're talking about sony parts, what about a CCQ cable that connects the projector to the controller?

Hallo Fujifrontier,
well what is a CCQ cable? What controller is there to be connected to the projector?
Please be a little more explicit. I'm not a professional technician.
Thank you!

Oh. No. It has nothing to do with your issue, sorry. I was just throwing it out there that I needed the cable to connect the projector to the external controller. Carry on

Cheers!

Hallo Curt,
good to hear from you. I hope you don't mind that I started this new post here in the forum.
I'm desperately waiting for the board as I have high hopes that it finally will cure the problem.
Unfortunately no one on the forum seems to know if the DA board is responsible for the H sync.
Every board on the CRT has a certain function. As far as I got infomation about it the DE and DD board on the 127x sets are responsible for the "larger" convergence settings. The y board as it is the CPU board is important for the banwidth and as you stated the DB board holds the memory banks. Can't tell what the DC and E boards do. As you said they are responsible for most defects on the Sonys but unfortunately not on mine.
Anyway, I'm looking forward testing the DA board. Hope it will arrive soon.
Greetings Joe

There are some sync controls on the DA board, but I really have never had one fail before. Jittering/pilsing issues are very rare on the 12XX in general.
The DC and E boards are where almost all of the high power deflection circuits are, and the physical size of the boards are commonly known for bad solder joints at this point. Still, we've already replaced those, so yes, let's hope it's the DA board!
(I did find out though that the newer style DA board that you have will not interchange with the older 1270 DA board that looks different today. THe newer board in the older set causes a completely dead set!)

Well then I expect your DA board as soon as possible.
Well, interchanging boards seems only to function between 1251 and 1271 and 1252 and 1272. Other options seem to be impossible.
But as the DA board you'll send is the newer board type from a 1271 there shouldn't be any problem.
Let's hope it works because if not I just don't know what to do then.
Greetings Joe

Hallo guys on the CRT board.
I finally got the DA board from CURT and I wanted everybody who might experience the same problem that changing the DA board solved my problem.
Greetings Joe Siegert
