OK, I've never set up a poll before, so here goes.
CRT sales are slowing, yet this forum seems to be ramping up. over 70 people have joined since Dec 31, a record maybe? (I know I can go look at stats of the forum, but I'm lazy).
I see there's 94 people right now looking at the CRT forum itself. It's Tuesday AM, you people should all be working! I figured many people would be here for the Moome/Fury forums. Seems maybe not. So.. why are you here?

Can you allow multiple choices? I came here mainly for the CRT info, but I hang here as much as I do because I like you guys. It's a good vibe. I wish I had a "tribe" like this locally.

I guess that's close enough. It IS why I'm here, and why I'm here ALL the freakin' time. I've gone into many forums to get technical information. It's very helpful, I get what I need, I thank them, I disappear. But this place is different. Like Wallace said, I'm hooked.
Curt, if you ever get out of the electronics biz, maybe you should open up a bar.

everything is slowing, we're in a recession whether the so called "news outlets" want to admit it or not. When people are losing their homes it's hard to justify buying a projector. So hanging out here makes a lot of sense, it's free.

"local" = "within a short drive, handy to stop by for a beer, a movie, to help hoist a projector, etc." Considering you and I have NEVER seen each others' HT's (because we're so @#%# far apart), you definitely ain't "local!" Even Dragan is an hour away from me -- too far to drop by very often.
I guess you should be glad I'm NOT "local," or you'd have to put up with me a lot more often.

Actually I have learned a ton about this hobby from ya'll. I would post more in the CRT forums but I still consider myself a newbie in that particular discipline so I don't have much to offer.
This forum attracts a very interesting and entertaining crowd to just "hang out" with though. I truly have a great time wasting time here.

When I was a kid I asked my parents that very same question over and over and the answer was always the same.... something to do with too much to drink at a concert, a full moon, and skinny dipping.  OHHHhhh...you mean HERE...in the forum... 
Hmmmmm....an option relating to trolling cell phones. Seeing as far as I know I'm the only person here who sells cell phones (He sells cell phones down by the cell store...) I SHOULD pick that one. But...
The truth is, I hang out here to practice my typing skills. That must be it because in over a year of membership I'm as adept at CRT setup as I was at golf before giving it up, except the woods aren't littered with my remotes.
Seriously, I enjoy the global community here. I like hanging out with smart people. I'm hoping it's contagious.

I hang around here because the people here are the cream of the crop of CRT users and knowledge. I'm hoping that some of it will rub off on me and it has. Also, I'm waiting to hear when Moome finishes the XG HDMI card so I can buy one!

Exactly. Between this site, AVS and Craigslist I probably manage to put in 1 to 2 hours of real work each day. Not to mention my Disney forums habit and streaming music...
