I posted this in the HKMOD group with no results, so I'll try it here...

My current setup is a Barco 808S (hooked up with the 5-bnc cable) using HDFURY and a Sony Blu-ray player. I am currently running 1080p. I can get MOST of the image on the screen using a H-phase of 35 and adjusting the raster shift to center the image. I noticed some vertical bars on the left side of the picture one day, and decided to try to resolve the issue. I figured it was that I had the h-phase so close to the beginning of the scan that the beam wasn't stable yet. Moving the h-phase to the right got rid of the bars, but the right side of the image was folded over pretty badly. I put up a test pattern (16:9) to try to fix this. It seems that no matter what I do, I can't get the whole image on the screen. I have played with blanking and h-size. Neither does anything to fix the problem. I am only losing about 5% of the image.

It seems that I am just getting too much horizontal information within each horizontal scan line and the projector can't display it all. Has anyone had this issue?

Thanks,
Garrick

UPDATE: I have the full service manual for my projector with all the schematics, etc.

One solution might be to add a RTC2200.

From the FAQ's:
Automatic or manual setting of H-delay, H-width, V-width, H-polarity and V-polarity, including user selectable positive or negative sync output for older projectors like Barco 800/801/808/1208 that only accept negative sync.

RTC2200 FAQ's

The HDfury and RTC2200 combo is becoming a very common setup.

Thanks for the reply. I really struggle with spending another $180 to use something I have already spent $180 for. I posted scope capture images of both a computer signal and the HDFURY signal. I don't think there is anyhing I can do to the signal/projector to fix this (after seeing the scope traces). Given it is only 5% of the image, I certainly cannot justify spending another $180.... There is just too much horizontal information without enough of a break between scans for the projector to properly display it all.

Thanks,
Garrick
