Just got my Moome card installed in my "new" G90 today and hooked up to a Toshiba XA-2 player.

If I use HDMI (6' Monoprice cable), the picture is fantastic at any resolution up to/including 1080i. 1080p or 1080p/24 both have horribly low (and inconsistent) picture levels. This was true for both upconverted SD-DVD content and HD-DVE disc.

When I unplugged the HDMI cable and fed the moome card component, it was able to display 1080p and 1080p/24 just fine (and it looks stunning).

However, I'd planned to use primarily HDMI from the equipment rack to the projector, assuming that will work.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not entirely "up" on HDMI, so perhaps HDMI simply can't support 1080p and what I'm seeing is obviously expected. Or I have a bad cable, or am using the wrong settings on the projector or player (or card).

I can grab a screenshot of the "bad" picture if needed, but it's by no means subtle, so I figured it may be a known-issue (just not known to me). I did try to read through the posts here and on AVS, but it wasn't clear to me what terms to even search on to find this specific info.

Thanks,
--Jim

Here's what the PJ reports for each mode and an attached screenshot for each. All screenshots are same camera settings, f2.6, 1/8 second exposure.

1080i: fH 33.71, fV 59.98
1080p: fH 67.43, fV 59.93
1080p/24: fH 26.98, fV 23.98

All are HDTV-GBR.

Toshiba firmware is the latest: 2.7/T23T

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just in case anyone finds this thread later when searching, here's the answer:

This card has a simply stunning picture and I couldn't be happier with it, now that I figured out what settings to put on my projector to get it to work at 1080p. Nice job, Moome!
