Everybody who has the PS3 seems to love it. Kal, Brian H, Pete... I just got one and only hooked it up last night. So far, it seems like a very, very cool piece of hardware. Far superior as a BD player than the original PS2 was as a DVD player. Then, you add all the cool media capabilities if you have a computer. Oh, and the fact that you could play a game on it from time to time. Wink

If it was $300 for a standalone or $400 for a PS3, there's no question I'd pick the PS3. Super upgradeable, powerful, media capabilities... I think it's worth it even if you never play a game on it. Excellent bang-for-buck factor, I think.

I'd agree with all the points raised by SC. I'm perfectly happy using it in my HT, will only be getting a stand alone once the Bluray profiles are all sorted, and I can get it HD-SDI modded.
