I'm wanting an HTPC. I've been looking around and I don't know what I need for a decent unit capable of pushing an LG HD combo drive. My display is a sony 1272 so I'm not looking for more than it can handle. I'm considering buying another 1272 for a stack. I found this on the fleabay: Item # 140190102186 What do you guys think?

Careful with the mini systems and the LG combo drive. I just got my drive and it's longer than a regular LG DVD drive and longer even than the Plextor drive it replaced. I'd email the company and ask them to test fit a drive in there for you first.
My Curent HTPC is a dual core AMD X2 4400+ (2100Mhz?) with 2GB ram and XP Pro. Geforce 8600GTS 256MB and Xbox 360 HD DVD drive. I just got the LG combo drive but the stock cable was too long to fit my box, I have to get a 90 deg SATA cable.
