hi all.. i got my 1292...
well i got most of it... along the way someone dropped it
all three of the tubes were broken
lucky thing is that the insurance guy has come back and told me that they cant get that model anymore .. yeah no kidding.. so he tells me that they will buy me something which is close to it... so i tell him sure.. good luck with that.. im hoping he comes back and tells me they are getting me a g90
after a few days, someone else from insurance company called me and they dont know what to do because its specialist equipment
they are going to give me the insured value which is way more than what i paid
i cant find anything like a 1292 .. i was given 3000 so i have to find something similar
has anyone got any suggestions? all the other 9" machines are double the price

Wow, who did you ship with, I want to use them..
I would get a good 8" set with mint tubes and keep some change. You won't find a mint 9" set other than a 1292 for $3K-ish.

Doesn't the 4200 use the same tubes that the 1292 use?

Sorry to hear about that James.
Post some pics...! Or not Can you understand our need to feed of other's misfortunes? I remember seeing Chris Nuttel's PJ
I actually felt sick!!! Yet.. strangely drawn. A bit like that film where the guy might be shagging his sister but she's so hot he doesn't care. Ewww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It might be worth spending a little extra and getting something descent

my new wife didnt like how big the 1292 was........... were meant to have a deal.. she can get her girly stuff but i can get whatever toys without any discussion...

I can't believe you through it away! I am sure there were a lot of parts that you could have sold.

I think 4200 use 09MI tubes. (or similar 09MX)
1292 use 09MFX3 that have 14 mm longer neck.
