Having some problems with my VIM-HD card for a 9500LC:
1. When I connect my (Denon 5910) dvd through HDMI the card works, but when I try to connect my HTPC the pc boots up until the screen saying Windows loading and then freezes. The computer works just fine connected to my plasma or to a lcd monitor, but as soon as the VIM is connected to either output from the graphic card (nvidia 8600gts) it wont work. Running DVI->RGB to the projector works fine. Since I only encounter this problem when the VIM-HD is connected I strongly suspect its the culprit, perhaps due to some hand shaking issue?
2. The picture size decrease a lot when using the card compared to when using RGBHV in. Have size at 87 to fill up the screen with RGBHV, when using HDMI on the VIM-HD going up to size 100 will only fill about 80% of the screen.
Any input on this would be appreciated.
Regards
Andreas

Dear Andres:
what resolution you use for VIM-HD, do you mean PC stop response or no image project on screen?
you have to resize the projector since the timing output from vim-hd is not same as old input.

I managed to get Windows to start using safe mode (using generic graphic drivers 800x600) so it seems like the issue occurs when its using nvidia drivers. I just get a black screen when the desktop should have appeared, but I think the entire computer crashes since a device connected to the 2nd Lan port gives a network connectivity lost indication. Regarding resolution I have tried 480P, 576P, 720P and 1080i from the dvd and that works fine, so it seems it rather is something with the combo of 8600gts and VIM-HD.
What do you mean by resize? I have maxed out the geometry size settings and the picture is still only 80% of what it is from RGBHV. Is there some other way to increase pic size apart from moving projector further back? Atm max size gives limited phosphor usage (perhaps 60% of total tube area).

so when you using the RGB input, how the size setting ? is it over 80%?
we can discuss using email, moome@seed.net.tw
