I've had my Marquee 8500 for a couple months now. I'm really enjoying it. We had a housewarming last night and really put the 8500 through its paces. Home movies, Guitar Hero 3, Madden. In total, the PJ was running for about 6 hours. Everything seemed fine, except that the picture started to blur a little around midnight (I wasn't sure if it was the PJ or me...)

When I fired up the PJ for the kids this morning, the HSYNC LED light was on. I saw that this was a common problem for the 8500. I couldn't fully remove the HDM, but I was able to reseat the board. When I powered the unit back up, the HSYNC diagnostic light stayed off and I had a picture again! Mr. Green

Is this a coincidence or a cause and effect? If I run my projector too long, is it more likely that I'll see the HSYNC issue? Or are the two totally separate?

I had two HDMs fail completely due to a fan stopping under it. But in your case it's most likely bad module contacts, common for the Marquees.
