1080p or 720p

Hi guys
I have a barco 701, and want to know which if the folling wouyd be better:

1. Using a 1080p signal and converting it to 1080i OR
2. Using a 720p signal and converting itg to 1080i OR
3. Using a 720p signal and watching it in 720p.

The signal is being fed through a PC and the novies are only avallable in 720p and 1080p.

Looks like a 7" machine with 45Mhz bandwidth will keep you at 720p/1080i. 720p is perfectly respectable tho unless you try to go with a massive screen. If you go too large it'll be dim and soft with 7" tubes even in a totally light controlled room.

But I'm a Marquee owner...what do I know. Mr. Green

Sounds like you are downloading movies and dunno whether to the the 1080p or 720p encoded one.

Always start with the best source, even if you downscale it - so a 1080p source.

I would always run 1080i minimum on the projector these days.
