Cool AR! I traded my Vic 20 for a C64 and it had a 110 baud modem that plugged into the back like an Atari cartridge. I used to dial into the MUSIC (McGill University System for Interactive Computing) system and play hangman.

Wow! The ULTIMATE geek test. Does anyone remember the Startrek game you played on main-frames? It was all text based and you had a 8x8 grid that your warped into. Then you enetered units of power to use on the phasers. There was a 3 digit code for each sector to tell you the number of bases, kilngons, and something else.

Never played that one but man could I port (P), trade, (T) and atack (A) in Trade Wars 2002 (all programmed in macro's that worked off the num pad keys ). We had a specially moded version of the game that gave your escape pod 50 000 fighters to attack with. SO when you have your stuff built up and wanted to go rogue all you had to do was use your escape pod. Ahhh I miss 1990.

I also had a cartride modem, 300 baud for my Colecovision ADAM computer. CR-LF. Ahhh highspeed....tape drives. I miss the sound of those.
