Okay, I have an ECP 4100 that has a horizontal hold issue but minty tubes. I have a 9PG+ with toasty tubes. I can't talk my Bride into letting me get the NEC tubes rebuilt. At this point the ECP has a better PQ. I have the NEC on the ceiling now but changing back to the ECP is not a big deal and I think Curt has the answer to the horizontal hold problem.

Next - I have a Crystal View VS-2. I have to run my FiOs set top box through S-Video (YPrPb at 1080i will not work) the SD channels look great with this set-up but the HD channels have issues. My son will likely get a PS3 from Santa this year. Do I get an HD switcher and an HDFurry (will the HDFury work on the VS-2 VGA pass-through?) or do I ask Santa for a moome EXT-HD?

What would you do?

Do neither-

Your bride only said you couldn't get the tubes in the NEC rebuilt, replaced.

She didn't say you couldn't go out hunting another (say a Marquee) Wink

Use whatever one you feel has the better picture until you're able to sneak a new one into the house
