|
|
Does anyone know what the "factory" values are for red, green and blue in the BIAS mode on a 1272? This is for a 3rd generation pj (serial number 2000331).
I have 2 different Y boards from the same generation type pj, and both have different values BIAS values in them. The Blue is almost the same for both (172 and 178), but the Red and Green are really different (Red = 94 and 122; Green = 102 and 147).
I also thought the only way to change the factory values was to re-set the eprom.
thanks.

Are you sure that factory defaults for BIAS are the same for all 1272/71/70...?
Service manual does not explain how to generate defaults values properly. I would put 128 on all of three.

I am finding out that factory default "values" for every projector is different. That is unless someone has reset the eeprom in all 4-1272's and the 1-1270 that I have. All 4-1272's have different BIAS and GAIN values at the factory setting.
It seems to make sense that the BIAS and GAIN settings would be different depending on the items in each projector; especially, the crt's. I can't see how every crt could be exactly the same. Also, depending on who or what is doing the initial settings, based on what light/color meter, they would be different.
But then again, I don't know sh*t, but trying to apply some logic to the thinking.
I bet if we take a poll and ask every 1272, 1271, 1270 or whatever to post their "factory" default BIAS and GAIN settings, no two would be alike.
I got $20.00 bucks on it.
Just my thoughts.....

Yes, makes sense that values should be different.
But I really do not understand fully how to create new default values!
