Guys!
I wanted to say what many are thinking; may our Forum friends and all the folks in the affected areas take care and stay safe. This will not be pretty; the fire departments in the region are all but certain that hundreds of homes will probably be lost.

Family friend is (was) an Engineer (retired) with the Malibu County department... "Engineer" in this context is a firefighter with a semi truck carrying a D9 dozer and an F350 4WD with a 300 yards reach napalm flamethrower.
Those boys know how to backburn!
That said... while I wish no person misfortune, I hope no "real" people are effected. I'm already weary of hearing how Jennifer Anniston might have a house burn or how the region looks from one of John Travoltas aircraft.

Hey, as long as no people or top end CRT projectors get harmed, the rest is all trivial. Those are the IMPORTANT things, you know.
