Don't feel too bad; I get the same thing.
When I was heavy into photography after getting my D80, I was looking for lenses, and every freaking cylinder I saw looked like a telephoto.
My wife got used to me jumping like a gun had gone off whenever I saw a thermos. Funny stuff...
