I have got an offer on a BD808s/Lc with p16? tubes, 2600 chassie hours and HD117-24 lenses

I have no idea what it is really..

How do they compare to BG1208/2 pricewise and spareparts wise?

Is there anything i can use from 1208 in a 808s/lc ?

There was no BD808s LC out from factory.

It could be one of these Retro blocks.

Those was build for video wall and other RP installations in mind. Lenses are pretty short throw.
Or Retros LC tubes and lenses are chanced to FP chassis.

Most parts are different than in 1208/2. BD808s should have new style input and driver board, but old 75 MHz two peace neck cards. These new cards can't be used with 1208/2 120 MHz "black box" neck cards.

Retro blocks are little cheaper than FP models, probably because of that bulky outfit.

As Ile mentioned it sounds like some sort of custom build, so more info is needed.

Should be very close to the Zenith 1200 aka Barco Cine 8 Onyx in performance. Might even give better focus as the HD117-24 lenses have to be sharper in the corners than the HD215 lenses found on the Cine 8 Onyx.

The HD 117-24 lenses are much better than the HD 117-12 which are for very small screens. They are capable of focusing on large screens. I focused a set on my 120" wide screen with no problem.

This sounds a lot like pete's "Barcenstien"

It is a buildt by our own Mr_King (rip) . I know nothing more.. But he probably had it calibrated so it is tempting.
