I picked up the PJ's that I had been working on for the last month. Things turned out better than expected. I ended up with the following for just hauling them away (2) Mitusubishi 1281's, (1) Ampro 4300, (1) Barco 808 Graphics and (1) Barco 1209. I went down early to get things ready before my friend showed up to help me and plugged the units in. Don't know if this has any bearing on the status of the PJ's as I did not have any source device. (1) Mitsubishi had all 3 CRT's light up, (1) Mitsubishi had only the blue CRT come on, The Ampro and Barco 808 had the fans come on and the Barco 1209 had the indicator light come on but nothing else. I'll be messing with these one by one over the next month to see what kind of shape they are really in. Probably start with the 1209. Going to bed, my ass is dragging after hauling these from the 4th floor to the dock, loading in the truck and then unloading. This is not an old man's hobby.

You could have saved your back by only hauling the Ampro and 1281's downstairs. The Barco's could have taken a shortcut out a window Smile (just kidding for Pete's sake!)

Did you get the remote with the Ampro? The 4300 will not light the tubes without a signal hooked up to it.

Unfortunately I did not, I will be checking remote control central for the codes to load into my pronto or keeping an eye on E-bay for one.

The Pronto will not do you any good. Ampro PJs do not have a built in IR sensor. The sensor plugs into the same connector as the remote. The only reason it even came on was because it went into "auto restart mode" other wise it will not even turn on without the remote.
You can make a cable and use a PC with Birdman's remote emulator to operate it.

You will also have the problem of which remote it takes. The 4300 was made at the time they were switching remotes. Some take the "new" style and some use the "old" style.
The only way that I know of how to tell which one it takes is trial and error. Plug one in and if the LCD read out is not right, then it takes the other one. It would help if someone that has one of the remotes is close to you. Then you could try that one and know which one yours needs.

I thought they used the new style, but the last one I had in (3300) used the old style. I thought I was losing my mind. Thumbs Up
