Perhaps someone can assist me in getting my pj back up and running again.
1292 with error codes 08- 20, or error codes 02- 12, depends on its mood.
I will try to post as much info as possible. I have replaced all boards between the
tubes, PB board, PA board, Power Supply, EA board, HV splitter, and the PC board.
I have configured between 2 power supplies and 3 PA boards. No luck.
So, on to my troublshooting. I tested voltages out of the PS at connectors 281 (-16v and 15v)
and 282 (115v and 115v) on both power supplies, same voltage.
Scenario 1:
With conn# 290 (PC board) disconnected, the set will power on, no errors, but no HV. When conn#
290 is plugged back in, error 02-12 appears, no power on, no voltage on conn# 290.
Scenario 2:
With conn# 281 disconnected, and #290 plugged in, set powers on, no errors, but no HV.
But conn# 290 then gives 115v on all 3 leads.
I tried these scenarios on different configurations between spare parts, with equal results.
It appears that some type of blockage occurs between conn's# 290 and 281. Still, I believe that
something deeper inside of the pj is the cause, but I cannot seem to track it. Any thoughts?
BTW, the pj was running fine in my garage. I moved it upstairs (townhouse) and
it gave errors ever since. I did try an extension cord to another outlet, no luck. Besides,
my 808 works fine on the outlet anyways. And yes, I did PM Graham, but no feedback.
Thanks!

I just sent out some loaner boards out of my only test set, but they will be back in 2 weeks or so. I can do some measurements for you once they are back. Remind me via email.
Offtopic, after 2-3 listens, what did you find entertaining about the Phil Hendrie show? Just curious..

Okay, I'll wait on those loaner boards. I figured that you had something and was going to pm you, but I decided to post
publicly to add to the sparse 1292 troubleshooting posts. Maybe someone else has the same problem, but won't ask.
In regards to Hendrie, the first time I listened to the show, there was a Middle Eastern/ Iraqi type character bashing America.
I was so incensed that I wanted to call in and b***h the guy out. After listening to his show for a few days, I "got it", and
have been listening to people become enraged over radio airwaves ever since. Call me wierd, but I like the
old-school/amateur vibe of AM radio, and it was pretty cool to hear something different.
Thanks!
