Yes I think he is "that guy" (whatever his name is). I commented on that earlier.
I just went back and read all of GO SEAHAWKS' posts. Sometimes he kind of rambles, but I understand what he's trying to say. And he doesn't seem like a bad guy at all to me. He's just a guy that wanted his money back. As soon as some of you started making fun of him, he disappeared and didn't post anymore, and hasn't since. He's obviously not a confrontational kind of guy, and it took almost a year for him to get to a point where he felt it necessary to confront Doug publicly.
I think you guys really mistreated him. Making fun of someone's communication skills is a pretty sh*tty thing to do. Lots of people struggle to coherently communicate their thoughts in text (me for example). The things you said were cruel and had to be hurtful. I'm sure we'll never see him again. What a great way to promote our dwindling hobby.

Hmm, are you completely objective? This was the first time you ever read communications by GoSeahawk and DB, right?
Who do you usually line up with: the "crackpot" you've never seen on the street or the one you know something about?
The problem, as usually, is the full story as you so nicely state, problem is there can't be any full story to third party, the public readers in this case, unless they get the timeline, the communication, the logs, and the CRC checksum to verify that everything adds up.

Gary, thanks for the link! I read about it when I Googled it. I understand that type of humor and wouldn't get mad about it, but to me it's just gross. My friends all know this and they use to e-mail NASTY, DISGUSTING pics just to f*ck with me. So, I haven't seen the picture and don't want to. The description I read last night was enough for me.
Years ago I received what has to be the most disgusting video in history. I only unwittingly watched it one time, and refuse to watch it again--but I saved it. I'll have friends over and ask them if they want to see it. I'll hit the play button and run out of the room! Most people doubt it's authenticity (I definitely think it's real), but don't seem too grossed out. It's gag reflex gross to me. I would e-mail to you guys but I don't want you to have my e-mail address. I don't want to get goatse'd!
PS: To the local guys and a few other forum members that DO have my e-mail address, PLEASE do NOT give it to Gary or Cliff. I don't want them having gross out fun at my expense.
