Okay Chris, Thanx. How do the two units interface with one another (HD Fury with Crescendo box)?

Plug the HD Fury into the Crescendo box's VGA port and connect the output from the Crescendo Systems RC2200 to your projector via a VGA to RGBHV, BNC breakout cable.

Then you end up connecting your PS/3 via HDMI to the HD FURY using an HDMI to DVI-D cable ( NOT an adaptor, there are known issues with the adaptors ) and for better picture quality make sure to use the 5 volt power supply that's available with the HD Fury.

So it goes like this

PS3--------HDMI to DVI-D cable-------HD Fury-(connected to the pass through VGA input on the Crescendo) RC2200-------output-------VGA to RGBHV-BNC breakout cable------Projector input

The Gama correction will be aplied to the pass through from the HD Fury.

Hey,

I currently run a G70 but had a M8500 in the past. As I remember the Marquee was remark-ably sharp.

Anyway,.. I just wanted to say that 1080p looks great on my G70 and it's not notice-ably softer when you look at it. But,.. I have returned to 1080i and now I love having the scan lines being so vis-able when I tweak focus. I can see the scan lines and just adjust them to where they are most notice-able. I can't overstate how nice it is to see them throughout most of the screen.

I usually notice the line structure once or twice when I watch a movie but it's not very distracting and I think 1080i just makes sense for 8". I'm glad to have a CRT because it can work correctly with interlacing whereas 1080i on something that's natively progressive like a LCD or DLP set makes just about no sense to me.

I just order the HD Fury from this site but did not order the power supply; Felt that $40.00 U.S. was a little too steep for a wall wart. Regardless, can anyone please tell me what the specifications in terms of power are so that I can maybe purchase a supply locally or is it something really special (I believe that Brian stated 5 volt)?

(It was actually AnalogRocks that outlined the 5 volt power supply requirement - Thanx) Just how necessary is it? Does it make a big difference with the wall wart?

I don't have the wal wart thingie.

I do have a 25 foot cable that's almost the lowest quality cable that monoprice makes (thier is one thinner cable.) I didn't mean to cheap it that much just didn't realize. Anyway,.. I have zero problems with the hdfury or hdmi, zip zero nada from the start. I feel like I missed out on something.

So, any insights on what the specifications for the HD Fury power supply are? And, just how necessary is it (in other words, is the picture better with the wall wart)?

Innof you haven't been reading the right forum. Check this forum out: http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=32

to save you some reading the specs are 5volts at 500ma regulated +-5%. In other words you need a 5 volt supply that can do a minimum 500ma I'd go with a slightly higher rated one say 5 volts at 1000ma. That way you won't be running the supply to hard.

The Fury is almost attached to the pj due to the short cable length from the Fury, but if one use the Fury into the RTC2200 and the RTC to the pj, how long, or short, would the ideal practical cable length be from the RTC?
