I have a couple of 1080i sources running into my onboard scaler. (The MJ scaler card for the 9500LC which takes DVI, bounces to 540 then up to 1080p)

Right now I am not going to spend the $ to get current external scaler with Gamma so I can either keep what I have now without gamma or go with Moome product and just use 1080i as my final output.

In the future I think an HTPC with cable card, Blue Ray, HD-DVD will cover all my needs, but that day is not today.

what would you choose?

I'd get the Moome HDMI w/ gamma now and upgrade to an scaler doing 1080p later if needed. The problem may be getting the Moome gamma card, I think they may have sold out already.

Moome has already ordered another batch from the manufacturer - I believe they will be available in October - check the Moome Products forum here.

I think I'd just stay with what you've got. The gamma adjustment is nice, but it is very subtle. You've got the 9500LC, so I'm guessing that you can clearly see the difference between 1080i and 1080p - but have you tried that? Setting the MJ card to 1080i?
