|
|
Hi All,
Switched on my Barco Data 801s today and the green was not working (blank). Swapped RGB amps with the red and the problem followed, so I guess the RGB amplifier is broken.
Is there a common component failure for this module? I see there are a few surface mount components on the rear of the PCB, but is it most likely that the amp IC (VPH06) has failed? Is it worth me just replacing that and see if it fixes the problem (assuming I can get hold of one)?
Cheers,
Ben

That's the catch.. if you can get a hold of one. I'm now out, but have iother working boards with new chips if you can't find the chip out there.

I believe the Sanyo VPH06 has a Sony Part #: 874992301 or 8-749-923-01 and I think nexttronics has them but they are pricey for a guess. Good luck.

PartStore.com also has them for about the same price.

Cheers guys. I've now got my eye on a spare 801s PJ, because I've got 2 of them blended I'm twice as likely to have a fault at some point that will need a spare part, so it makes sense to have some bits around just in case.
Thanks,
Ben.
