Is there a updated completion date? Wasn't the house slated for completion about a year ago. You must be getting itchy to finish this up.

We are shooting for early September. The delays are driving me nuts as you can imagine...

I think you might be a bit optimistic, on houses this size I told my clients move in day will be about nine months after the last piece of sheet rock is hung. Finishes take a long time.

You'd have to have read through the thread, but there was a priority shift last fall and I think the theater is well behind the rest of the house, Joel... So, the September move-in may still be realistic.

Congratulations on having the rest of the house finished, and thanks for the updates, Arnold!
That ceiling looks beautiful, and I love the color scheme and column details. What's the new finish date on the theater? Looks like you might just be a couple of months away.
Can't wait to see the whole space with the scaffolding out of there.

You really need to spend a few minutes combing this thread - Believe me - it's worth the small time investment. At the very least, flip through and click on the pictures... The scale alone will make you giddy... 
Here's some of the relevant bits of the discussion on the projector...

Finally, not having a fixed pixel display allows far greater latitude in keystone correction, etc. |

So has the projector as originally selected been deleted and replaced with an up to date projector? There are quite a few D-cinema projectors, 2K and 4K both, that will wipe the floor with the JVC LV machine shown. The past three years have seen incredible leaps
in projector technology and we are on the very edge of a major breakthrough: High lumen output digital projectors using LED lamp
sources, thus creating the projector with a 50,000 hour service life and no lamps to change. The eternal projector, practically.
Though the selected Hughes LV machine may be very good, I think that support for it is ALREADY going to be a problem if it breaks.
I'd rather go with something more supportable, such as any of the digital PJs that are in widespread use in cinemas all around the world now.

This project has taken so long that the projector spec'd for this theater is no longer in production. I wonder if he's already got it or will something else be installed?
Glad to hear the rest of the house is complete. Have you moved in yet? What home automation system did you settle on?
