I'm needing a DVI male cable. Where's a good place to source these? The price range for a 20' cable ranges from $30 to $300.

bluejeanscable.com

Known to be well built but not overpriced.

Thanks Kal. Anything that ships from Canada? I'm getting clobbered with customs and brokerage fees.

Specify that they do not ship courier, US postal service may be slower but you do not end up getting mugged for brokerage

Yep. Especially avoid UPS.

I have a couple of orders on their way from the US using UPS right now... I dread what it'll cost me extra. Sad

I've ordered 3 times now from Bluejeans and they have all shipped the next business day via USPS which gets handed off to Canada Post up here . Took about a week in all 3 cases and i never had to pay any customs/brokerage charges on them. Mind you all the orders were under 50 bucks but if it had been UPS the brokerage would have been as much as the cable!!
I'm looking at replacing my Sat coax cables right now(about 8 years old) and for sure i'm going to order the sweet beldens thru Bluejeans. Great service from these guys and a nice selection.

thnaks for the site tips and shipping info.

so what about price vs quality? Can I assume the same applies as with speaker wire? For example, the Monster wiring is 5 times the price and from what I have read is simply burning money. I'm looking at a 20' run for a DVI male cable and is priced around 50-60 bucks +/-. Does this sound reasonalble or do I need to jack it up a bit (or a lot). FYI, I'll be running it from an iScan HD+ to the HD-fury (and have the power adapter for the Fury).

Oh, one other thing. What do the terms single link and dual link refer too?

I tend to trust the Blue Jeans guys.
My guess is their new Belden Bonded Pair (BJC Seires-1) is up to any thing you wish to throw at it at any sane distance.

Are not cables claiming to be DVI (or HDMI) required to prove themselves with the DVI (or HDMI) specification? I've got some 17' HDMI cables I paid $7 for that work without any observed problem. Spending money on boutique versions seems like a joke.

I would argue that anyone that tells you upfront they built this with Belden is not trying to sell you "boutique" cables.
