Sorry Curt,
I just saw this AFTER I just outfitted two kids with college books and computer gear last month on Amazon! I'll be using your referral from now on also.

You should get this same deal from other sites like buy.com. Your members probably spend more than average from internet sites. Hell, I try to buy everything but food by surfing. I hate brick and morter stores.

Sure, I'll add a whole list of places. If anyone has any recommendations of stores, let me know and I'll check to see if they have affiliate programs!

Maybe I am missing something, but clicking that link takes me to www.amazon.com and not to a specific page within their site. I'm looking at watches at the moment.

Correct. But they know you come from curtpalme.com so curtpalme.com gets a tiny percentage of any purchases you made.

I mentioned this in the first post in this thread when I said:

If you're already spending money at Amazon.com buying HD-DVD / Blu-Ray movies, players, or anything else why not use this link to support the forum?

Curt's Amazon.com Blu-Ray/HD-DVD store

Want to buy something completely different but still support the forum? Use this link:

Link to Amazon.com Main Page - A percentage automatically goes to support CurtPalme.com and this forum!

I've added something new: A thread to track Blu-ray release dates with links to Amazon.

See this sticky thread in the "Movie & Media Talk" forum: https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=9237.html

Thanks for the support guys!

So I can't see who orders what (for obvious privacy reasons), but I can still see what gets ordered and there are a few interesting things.

This one has to be Curt: Bellydance for Core Fitness - A Belly Dance Workout

Someone's become a parent and just can't let go of their crazy younger years:

Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Metallica

Nothing wrong with a cheesy romance novel:

The Making of a Marchioness (Paperback)

Nice GPS!

Garmin nüvi 660 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator

And finally, the mother of all remote controls:

Color Pronto Remote Control - TSU9600

Buy something funny or interesting and get it listed here! Smile

That's hilarious! "Rockabye Baby" is apparently quite a franchise. They have versions for Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Tool, Nirvana, NIN, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins...

Quote "Metalica Lullaby's?"

I'm not familiar with most of thier songs but I do remember that one...

Hush little baby, dont say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
Its just the beast under your bed,
In your closet, in your head

Here are a few more odd-ball things that have been ordered from Amazon.com by people here:

Keep it coming! It's interesting! Smile

Haven't seen much posted here lately. I just ordered an Elite Screens fixed frame 120" Cinewhite screen to replace my laminate screen.

I just ordered this:

Was on their web site and it looks like this might be a really great calibration disc.

Yes it is. Check out my BLU-RAY DISC RELEASE LIST & MUST-HAVE TITLES where it says:

Quote:
Test Discs

To get the most out of your home theater we recommend the following two Blu-ray test discs. There's a lot of other stuff out there - save your money. No other test discs are required.

Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics (DVD International) : Audio and video calibration test patterns and instructions. Get the most out of your HD home theater using this disc and our Greyscale & Colour Calibration for Dummies guide.

Spears & Munsil High-Definition Benchmark Blu-ray Disc Edition : Advanced video benchmarking and calibration. While there is some overlap, it is a a perfect compliment to Digital Video Essentials as it has deinterlacing and chroma alignment tests, as well as other advanced features. No audio calibration so Digital Video Essentials is still required. Comes free in the box when you purchase the (phenomenal!) Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player.

I'm probably going to order that Oppo Blu Ray player by the end of the week. I'm trying to coordinate shipments around the wifey being out of town. Mr. Green

Kal, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Oppo this morning. Using the Curt Palme link of course! Thumbs Up I can't wait to try this thing out and relegate the Panny player to the downstairs plasma. I'm really glad to be able to throw Curt a small bone through these Amazon links which makes the purchase that much sweeter. Very Happy

Now...what else do I want.
