do I need to get screen goo or whatever its called or will simple matt white paint do.
I have the entire HT painted in matt black. The screen is just the wall painted matt white and surrounded in the matt black. There are no windows in the room. It looks cool, but i am wondering if i need to use the silver screen goo stuff or something else to make it look as good as it can get
Thanks Y'all

If you were in the US there's several things to suggest Behr Ultra White paint, Wilson Art Designer White laminated (Yep! The kitchen countertop stuff).
There was a UK CRT website but I think it's gone. Maybe someone can shed more light on what's available across the pond.
Any flat white paint will work. Not egg shell or semi gloss. Not antique white. As white as you can get. It's a matter of how well it works. Screen Goo is a known product but rather pricey. It is paint. Just special paint.

yeah, the screen is brilliant matt white, very little sheen. It works very well, so i reckon ii will keep it that way. I just thought that maybe i could make it even better.
Thanks for all your help.

After I scratched the laminate on my melamine screen I ended up painting it. I used one of the paint formulas that I found on the A site which was a mixture of Behr Ultra Pure White, Behr Deep Base, and a little bit of white Pearlescent paint. Honestly, I think the results would have been the same with just the UPW paint. I'm a bit skeptical of those "special" paint formulas now.
