Howdy boys and girls,
Sent Curt my heatsink and CLM to add the 2 astig boards to upgrade my 8000 to an 8500.
Curt tested all good before leaving Canada, went to set it up tonight and the service menu says that the Stigmator is not installed. Is this software or hardware related?
How do I fix?
Cheers
Ben

Hello

You should have a second small board now mounted on top the control board. The CLM will take inventory of any options installed (stigwave, Acon, decoder etc.) at powerup. If the stigwave board is not recognized then you have a problem maybe in the CLM itself.

As Tim says, there should now be a Stigmator daughter board mounted on your CLM. Given the distance that the board has traveled (Canada to OZ) you should reseat the daughter board. It might have wiggled loose from vibration or even wiggled out some by thermal expansion and contraction.

I'm sure hope it will be a simple fix.
