Does one have to be homophobic to be a video guy? I don't think it fits the image of an intelligent and very discriminating (taste that is) group who are out of the mainstream of a population who will settle for a lesser standard. I don't think being gay has anything to do with being or not being a videophile.

Ehm, you don't really know all the meanings of gay do you?
No you don't have to be homophobic to be a video guy ... but you probably will be gay if you are a "video guy" -- very happy.
But in a chat forum, if someone is gay he's probably very gay, and the definition of "video guy" gets a whole new meaning.

Or an audiophile either.....hmmm....I hate to admit it as it sounds sexist but I can't remember a female having an input into the equipment decision of anyone I know except to say "NO!" weird isn't it? I have heard of WAF but never HAF.

Or a true woman nerd ... I met only one in my life, and she turned out to be an economic freak, grrr.

Actually I know female engineers who are really smart and could fry most of us. But not audiophiles or videophiles.

Me too. Having worked at Hewlett Packard for many years, I worked with many female nerds. I don't know if any of them were audio or video geeks too.

Doesn't seem like ANYbody goes into the chat room. I figured I'd check it out (wander in and say "Is this the gay bar??"  ), but I've only seen one person there, twice, and both times the person was leaving just as I came in. (I think they left BEFORE they saw me coming!! ) Pretty dead place, even on a Friday night...
